- P0521 ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR PERFORMANCE Vehicle was brought in to diagnose a CEL. Using TRITON D10 diagnostic scan tool I found the above listed code. Verified that the Oil pressure reading on the dash matches the scan tool. After a short while the Oil pressure reads 0 and a message comes on the dash. NO OIL PRESSURE SHUT OFF ENGINE. Found that the oil is dangerously low using the engine oil dip stick. Filled with oil and ran engine with UV oil dye added to the new oil. Using UV flashlight I found oil coming from the engine oil pan gasket and possibly also from the rear crankshaft oil seal. Customer is bringing vehicle in next week after the holiday for repairs.
