  • Vehicle contained DTC P0300 CYLINDER MISFIRE DETECTED. Upon inspection of the ignition system I found that the spark plugs and wires were worn and damaged by corrosion resulting in a misfire condition specifically affecting cylinders 1 & 3. Verified this diagnosis by monitoring engine misfire data and observing continuously at cylinders 1 & 3. R&R spark plugs and wires. Applied dielectric grease to all contact points between the spark plugs, wires and ignition coils. Cleared codes and test drove vehicle. Verified repair using TRITON D10 scan tool to monitor engine misfire data and recorded that there are no longer any misfires.

  • Performed routine maintenance service. Visually inspected fluids, hoses, belts, brakes and tires. Vehicle was brought in for an oil/ fluid leak. See check leak line for details. All other visuals are ok at this time. Drained engine oil and replaced oil filter. Placed new oil change reminder sticker in windshield.
  • Vehicle was brought in for inspection/ diagnosis of an oil/ fluid leak. The highest source of the leak is coming from the valve cover gaskets. R&R valve cover gaskets w/ cover bolt grommets. Filled engine with UV oil dye to inspect for any other oil leaks. I do not see any other oil leaks in the system at this time. If leaks occur in future this vehicle will need to be brought in for inspection. Repair complete

  • Disconnected entire front end suspension system in order to remove strut assemblies. Attached front end leveling spacers to top end of strut assemblies. Ensured spacer/ strut mount nuts are tightened to manufacturer specifications. Connected all front end suspension components and tightened all nuts to manufacturer specifications. Removed rear u-bolts and rear shock absorbers in order to lower rear differential enough to remove leaf spring spacers. Installed new leaf spring leveling kit spacers including new u-bolts/ nuts. Tightened everything to manufacturer specifications. Rear leveling kit required a second person for installation without complications. Ensured everything was installed correctly. Vehicle will need an alignment after tire installation in order to ensure new tires wear evenly.

  • Verified that this vehicle intermittently starts. Upon starting vehicle there is a long slow crank before ignition. Verified that this starter assembly is receiving sufficient power/ ground. R&R Starter motor assembly. After replacement of the starter the vehicle no longer has a slow crank and starts almost immediately every time the ignition is turned. There is oil leaking from the engine possibly from multiple locations. Oil appears to be leaking from the engine cylinder head valve covers and possibly from the rear main oil seal due to there being oil inside the bell housing of the transmission visible through the starter hole. This can cause an issue with the starter if oil is continuously leaking onto the starter. To pin point exact location of the leak it is advised to add UV leak detection dye in the engine oil system.
