- Vehicle was brought in because vehicle will die while driving. Tested alternator charging system. Charging system test failed showing that the vehicle was running solely on battery power and was not charging. Voltage was showing under 10v instead of 13.6-14.2v. Customer states battery is brand new. R&R alternator assembly. Started vehicle and allowed to run at idle. Test drove without shutting vehicle off and verified that the vehicle does not stall while driving. Tested charging system after repairs and the battery/ alternator passed. Repair complete.
