    • Vehicle was brought in to diagnose an oil leak. Entire oil pan is covered with oil. The highest source of the oil leak is coming from the crankshaft oil seal in the front. Cleaned residual oil and poured 1oz of Oil UV dye to pin point exact location of leak. Ran engine for 10 minutes and used UV light to find oil leak coming from the front crankshaft oil seal. Repair is about 2.5 hrs. Vehicle will be scheduled in the near future for repairs.

    • Customer states that the washer fluid sprayers do not operate. Upon inspection of the washer fluid system I found that the hose connecting at the washer fluid pump was not connected. Removed tire and wheel well splash shield to gain access to washer fluid reservoir. Re-connected hose and ensured that the washer fluid now sprays from sprayers. However, there is a leak in the washer fluid line that is attached to the hood. Taped area securely and ensured no leaks at this time. In order to replace line anything that is brittle like the washer fluid nozzles or the lines themselves may break upon replacement taping line is one way to prevent anything else from breaking.

    • Customer stated that the vehicle reaches the hot temperature side of the gauge when driving to Edgewood. Found that the cooling system was low. However, during a cooling system pressure test I did not find any external leaks and no signs of any internal leaks. Recommend topping off cooling system with coolant either 50/50 or concentrate only when topping off system. After filling cooling system to capacity I test drove at highway speeds and still could not duplicate the hot temps. If problem persists I recommend starting with a cooling system flush and thermostat replacements.

    • Vehicle was brought in to diagnose a no start condition. Prior to inspection I found that the Battery voltage was not enough to crank/ turn over the engine. Tested battery and battery failed. Charged then retested battery showing 12.2v and battery still failed. Replaced battery and found upon turning key on that the fuel pump did not work. Verified that there is proper voltage and ground going to the fuel pump connector. Ensured that all fuses and relays are operational. However when checking voltage going from the relay to the fuel pump I found that the voltage only showed 11.3v even while using power probe to supply voltage to fuel pump. Replaced fuel pump and ensured that there is now sufficient voltage. Verified that the fuel pump works. Vehicle does not start. After replacing battery when scanning for codes there were none. After attempting to start vehicle with new battery and fuel pump I scanned vehicle a second time and found code P0355 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR "A" CIRCUIT. Inspected the camshaft position sensor and did not find any damage nor obvious faults. Upon inspection of the timing belt and crankshaft position sensor I found that the belt was broken. I had to remove the timing belt covers to inspected. Upon attempting to set vehicle on time to replace belt the crankshaft pistons and cylinder head valves are hitting. Due to this engine being an interference engine there is enough evidence provided to suspect that there is internal damage to the engine. Recommend machining heads and hoping there is no bottom end damage to the engine. Or replacing engine if vehicle is to be made operational again.
